Popular gay site BadBears announced the launch of its latest endeavor, GayStationPortable.com, a site that allows users to download adult gay content for play on handheld electronic devices.
According to BadBears owner David Watson, content from GSP is compatible with Play Station Portable devices, and plans are in place for it to become compatible with personal digital assistants, Mobile Web, tablet PCs, and other handheld devices. Video clips can be downloaded in short- and long-playing form; still pictures and slideshows also will be available.
Watson says the site has been in development for the past four months, after an associate who is now the site’s webmaster brought the idea to him. “It’s an exciting and interesting field, and we are happy to get in on the ‘ground floor’ of this development,” Watson says.
The majority of content offered to users will be created exclusively for the GSP site, though some of it will be culled from BadBears and a small portion will be licensed content from other sources. Watson says he is looking to branch out from the bear and muscle content that until now has been his forte. “While at this time the content is predominantly muscle and bear, we are in the process of producing exclusive twink and fetish content as well,” he says, adding that the content will only be offered on the GSP site. “As the content evolves and expands, so will GayStationPortable.”
As many adult webmasters get their feet wet in the burgeoning mobile porn movement, Watson says BadBears’ involvement in the field signifies a growing desire to expand the realms of technology. “I believe that the adult industry’s presence on the Internet will only strengthen with the addition of sites like GSP,” he offers. “GayStationPortable and other sites like it simply make adult material available to those people ‘on the go.’ There will always be a need for Internet porn, and the technology used to build handhelds can only strengthen adult entertainment on the Net.”
GayStationPortable.com offers unlimited downloads with a paid monthly subscription. Membership privileges include all content on the GSP site, as well as content from both BadBears.com and BadBears.TV.
