Babeland Changes Name, Logo

The “click-and-mortar” sex-toy retailer formerly known as Toys in Babeland has changed its name to simply Babeland and revealed a new corporate logo to “keep pace with the evolution of the Babeland brand,” according to company officials.

"The new name, Babeland, better represents our company promise," notes co-founder Rachel Venning. "Toys in Babeland has always been more than just a place to buy sex toys: It's a destination, a lifestyle, a state of mind. The name 'Babeland' evokes a place our customers can go to for passion, exploration, and satisfaction.”

Remarks Claire Cavanah, fellow Babeland co-founder, "Our new identity keeps the playful and clever elements of our old name and logo and takes them a step further. The new name and logo are clear, inclusive, and memorable."

The company has rebranded its website and its retail stores in New York and Seattle to represent the new identity. The company also is gearing up to open a new store in Los Angeles on Oct. 27.

Venning promises, "Whether you shop online or at one of our stores, you'll find the same great customer service and comfortable atmosphere that you've always enjoyed."
