Photography site VivThomas.com announced that voting officially has begun for the 2006 BabeOfTheYear.
The VivThomas.com Babe of the Year Contest started in 2005 on its forum when a few of its members suggested that renowned photographer Viv Thomas thank the models for all of their hard work during the course of the year.
"The voting turned into a huge success and completely exceeded our expectations—so much so that we thought we had better plan for next year," said Thomas. "Well, next year has arrived. In honor of the contest, we have built a special website in which visitors can get to know the models fairly intimately with a small paragraph about each girl, a video clip of her best work, and a collection of images. Based on this info, anyone can vote for the most stunning porn star in Europe—even if they have never heard of the model before."
There are two rounds of voting: The first round (from March 1-15) narrows the 12 candidates down to six; in the second and final round (from March 16-31), the Babe of the Year is chosen, along with two runners-up.
VivThomas is based in Portugal and produces high-end, hardcore porn DVDs with a focus on lesbian sex. Thomas is a glamour photographer and helped to pioneer the leg-sex movement.
