Fans of gay porn used to have to rely on dirty magazines sneaked out of seedy bookstores in brown paper bags in order to discover all the latest industry news and gossip. Thanks to informative sites like GayPornBlog.com and the brand new GayPornSpace.com, however, getting one’s fix is easier than ever.
GayPornSpace launched just a few months ago, after webmaster Mark R. (an industry vet who started out as frequent MSR Video performer Mark Reed before trying his hand at the now-defunct StudNextDoor.com) decided to use his Christmas 2005 vacation to do something a little more constructive than scarfing down leftovers. “I was playing around on MySpace and came up with the idea for GayPornSpace,” he says. “I wanted to create a site that looked good, was fun, and stayed on [task] while accomplishing those goals. A few graphics and a bit of site mapping later, and I had the basic framework for a free website that could support affiliate programs and future advertising.”
Featuring up-to-date news, enlightening feature articles, a fun (but not catty) blog, and tons of movie previews, GayPornSpace quickly is becoming an Internet staple for all things gay in triple-X. “There’s nothing better than sharing a perspective with an audience,” Mark says, adding that his immediate goal is to be successful enough to afford a helper. “I think of GayPornSpace as being a very elaborate blog. It’s a time-consuming process to do as many updates a week as I want to do, but I feel that without new content, it’s a bore.”
