On a hot a muggy night in downtown Los Angeles, AVN.com reports from the most secretive porn film made in hardcore history. Why director/general manager Axel Braun and Elegant Angel are keeping the most expensive movie in the company's history a secret seems to suggest something’s up.

“I've been shooting 20 hours a day for a week...but I can't rest", Axel Braun mumbles into his cell phone to creative doppelganger, Patrick Collins, CEO of Elegant Angel. “Don't drop dead on me yet, kid...there's a ton of shit you still need to do at the office! After that, you can rest..." Collins laughs so loud into the receiver that you can hear it a few feet from Braun’s ear.
Meanwhile, AVN Award-winning actress Ava Vincent is getting her clam cleaned by the able tongue of horny stud Kurt Lockwood. Braun is ecstatic, scared and aroused beyond belief. “I’ve been abstaining from ejaculation to heighten my arousal factor, something I learned as a kid while studying Tantra”, Braun offers,grabbing the 16mm camera and zeroing in on the scene in front of him.
For newcomer Lockwood, this is his big break opportunity. "I had never heard of him, but he called and asked to read for the role" Braun says "and he delivered such an intense performance it gave me chills! Right there I knew I had the right guy."
Ava Vincent plays Lockwood’s girlfriend. She gets murdered in a European nightclub at the beginning of the film. Braun was actually in the nightclub scene, indicating that he may have given himself some unknown role.
From what we gathered talking to cast members, that include Aria and Avy Scott, the starring role was up for grabs up until a few days before principal photography started.
What’s apparent on the set of this hush-hush production is the attention to detail, depth of emotion, strength of writing and the concentration of director Axel Braun. It's all adding up to what looks to be something beyond the norm, something that comes around all too rarely in adult filmmaking.
Line producer ( and AVN Award-winning director) Ren Savant, and production manager Eli Cross, have bonded with Braun on this mega-production, and are feverishly devoted to making this monster run smoothly.
It was decided early on not to divulge much of the story or who the star of the picture is. We did overhear that AVN Award-winning superstar Belladonna might be singing the title song, though a "No comment" was Braun's reply.
This is my life, my art, my everything", Axel explains when they break for a film change, “this story has completely taken me over... I’m living and breathing it. When pressed to divulge the name of his female lead, Braun’s eyes squint. As he lights another cigarette, looking like a character straight out of a Fellini movie, he smiles: “Why do you need to know?”
With that he walks back on the set, where he's handed a reloaded camera and proceeds to capture the finale of the Vincent and Lockwood link up. When it's done, Ren Savant walks over and hugs Braun. It's a moment of joy and catharsis for everyone involved. They all feel they're a part of something great and from what we witnessed, it appears they're right.
