Adult Video News (AVN) will sponsor its first “AVN Industry Summit” in September. The summit will bring leading adult industry studios, distributors and buyers together for three days of business discussions, information sharing, and networking. The event will be held September 25-27, 2006 at the La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs, Calif. Home Entertainment Events is organizing the summit.
“With emerging technology constantly creating new dynamics in the industry and more adult product available for sale than ever, it made a lot of sense to create an industry-only conference that will allow leading producers, distributors, and buyers to meet in a format designed to make the most efficient and productive use of their time,” said Paul Fishbein, publisher of AVN.
“The conference program portion of the retreat is designed to provide the latest information on business and technology developments that impact our industry,” said Janet Gibson, show manager. “But it won’t be all work and no play. As with any good summit, we’ll start off the event with some fun networking opportunities including a golf tournament."
The three-day industry-only executive conference is designed to facilitate meetings between leading adult entertainment suppliers and buyers and provide valuable networking opportunities. The comprehensive conference program will feature sessions on piracy, digital delivery, high-definition media, legal and regulatory issues, mobile entertainment, human resources management and strategic planning.
A second Adult Industry Summit and Retreat will take place in on the East Coast in Spring 2007.
The next AVN Adult Entertainment Expo will take place Wednesday, Jan. 10 to Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
