Nominations for the 2006 AVN Awards will be announced at 9 a.m. Wednesday on AVN.com.
"After five long, grueling, exciting weeks locked in an office with our staff, watching sex scenes, we'll finally be able to announce the nominees," said Paul Fishbein, AVN president. "People really stepped up this year and the quality and production values of the adult product is at an all-time high."
The 104 competitive categories include some new ones, such as Crossover Star of the Year and several new Specialty Awards. Nominees were culled from the over 7,000 new titles released during the eligibility period of between October 1, 2004 and September 30, 2005.
Also to be announced tomorrow are this year’s Hall of Fame inductees and the recipient of the Reuben Sturman Award.
