SAN DIEGO, Calif.—Multi-awarded performer Ava Devine has entered a new genre of adult entertainment with her VR scene debut in "PSE: Porn Star Experience" from Naughty America.
"I'm always intrigued by any kind of new experience," Devine said on making her decision to shoot in virtual reality. "It's a sign of the times, so let's give it a whirl."
In promotional footage from the shoot, Devine said she “was admittedly a bit nervous about shooting a VR scene after hearing some friends describe its rigors," but that she was up for the challenge.
"I'm very open-minded," she added, in the behind-the-scenes interview. "Open ears, open eyes, open heart, and open legs. So, let's go."
During the interview, Devine also experienced watching a VR scene for the first time to try to grasp the concept of what she'd be doing, and it ended up exciting her even more.
"I was extremely turned on and aroused," she said. "It was so sexy and sensual."
Devine confessed that it took some coaching to get her to continuously make eye contact with the VR rig. But once she got in rhythm with it, she didn't want to stop—and that's what Devine said not only differentiated the VR shoot from any other shoot she'd done, but made her enjoy it so much more, too.
"I found it very erotic, locking eyes," she said. "I worked magic with the camera ... it was hotter times ten. I'm more into the connection than the transaction. I was really attached to the whole idea of connecting with the viewer so intently and intensely—their mind, body, soul and spirit."
