Assault charges against rapper Eminen were dropped after a man accusing him of punching him at a strip club said he would not press charges.
The man last week complained to police that the 33-year-old rapper had punched him several times while the two were in the bathroom at the Cheetah’s strip club in the early hours of last Thursday, according to Reuters.
The man, who identified himself as Miad J., told WXYZ-TV last week that he was attacked without provocation by Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers.
The strip club is located on Eight Mile, or the road that serves as a border between Detroit and its well off suburbs. It also served as the title of Eminem’s 2002 movie about his life.
Had charges been filed, it would have been the rapper’s first since he served two-years probation for concealed weapons charges in 2000.
