According to organizers, Adult Online Europe’s November show in Amsterdam set records, with more exhibitors, sponsors, speakers and attendees than the endeavour has seen in the past.
“We would like to thank all our sponsors, exhibitors and attendees,” says John Green, AOE project manager, “and look forward to seeing everyone at our next event in Berlin [during early 2006].”
Mobile continued to be an important part of the event. For the first time, a Vodafone representative spoke at the conference, demonstrating the increasing importance of adult content and services to the wider mobile community. (According to Juniper Research, worldwide revenues for adult mobile content will hit $1 billion this year.)
Many AOE exhibitors showcased the latest wireless technologies and content, illustrating the adage that the adult industry paves the way for mainstream technological endeavours.
Adult online content is becoming increasingly important in Europe. There are approximately 33.5 million broadband subscribers, indicating broadband connections exist in 20 percent of all homes. Reports suggest this figure will rise to nearly 41 percent by 2008. The show floor was packed with many leading online companies, and the webmaster seminars and AOE Conference tracks, led by Colin Rowntree from Wasteland.com, provided valuable information for webmasters on maximizing revenues in the European marketplace, from content to traffic generation and billing.
According to Robin Clark, marketing and sales director of InterMax Group, “Once again AOE has excelled beyond expectations. InterMax Group was overwhelmed with the high level of interest from webmasters to mobile providers and the odd TV station or two with regard to
6-chats-money.com and modelvilla.com. Yes, we made the odd deal or two. We will definitely be at the next AOE show in Berlin in spring.”
AOE will continue to bring together the pioneers of the industry in 2006. For details, contact [email protected] or visit booth 1228 at Internext in Las Vegas.
