Antigua Pictures has signed an exclusive distribution deal with Fatt Entertainment, naming Allen Gold, formerly of VCA, as sales rep.
Said Antigua president Todd Blatt, “We just needed the best sales rep in the business, and that was Allen.”
Gold stressed to AVN.com that he is only repping the product line and is not otherwise affiliated with Antigua, which does its own paperwork and shipping. The deal has not affected Gold’s status as a partner with Kevin Beechum in Cherry Boxxx Productions.
Antigua has not previously done domestic distribution of video or DVDs, concentrating instead on foreign sales. But now they will distribute not only Fatt Entertainment but Van Damage’s Pagan Pictures as well. Fatt’s big 2003 release, Ice T’s Pimpin’ 101, was distributed by IVD.
Fatt’s next big release is another hip-hop crossover, Knoc’turnal’s Record Release Party: Uncensored. It’s a two-parter, with the first part going out next month. Its producer, Fatt president Al Thornton, told AVN.com he is discussing future projects with several rap and R&B stars.
Blatt says that Fatt will start off with one title a week and eventually ship six titles a month. Current Fatt lines are Fatt Digital Magazine, Fatt Asses, and Fatt Dickie Mouths.
Gold told AVN.com that Cherry Boxxx is doing “even better than expected, still growing, and we had a very positive feedback at the Adult Expo this year.’
