CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Talent agent Mark Spiegler informed AVN that a number of female performers have been contacted recently by somebody claiming to be him via the messaging app WhatsApp. This follows similar attempts perpetrated by somebody over WhatsApp in February.
Spiegler shared screenshots of messages the impostor sent attempting to book these models—none of whom Spiegler represents—in one case, for "a private welcoming party" for the newest additions to the LA Clippers' roster.
Spiegler said he was particularly concerned because of the fact that in order to send these messages, the impostor would "somehow have to get the girl's mobile number."
