With nine years of adult production experience and hundreds of videos under his belt, Andre Madness has decided to start his own studio, Madness Pictures. Next month Madness Pictures will release and distribute the initial volumes of their first two series.
“For the last couple of years I’ve really geared myself towards collecting the people around me that I’d need to build the company,” Madness told AVN.com. “I’ve got the production company squared away. About six months ago I developed a post-production company and they do amazing work. I figured distribution was the final niche I needed to conquer, so here we go.”
Hank Weinstein, a veteran salesman, who has been working with Darkside, will oversee the distribution arm.
Madness started his career in adult as a producer, then begin directing approximately seven years ago. Elegant Angel gave him his directorial debut. Since then he’s worked for Kick Ass Pictures, Pleasure Productions/Rosebud and has directed for Private, Elegant Angel, New Sensations/Digital Sin and Video Team.
“I’ve created a lot of award winning series with other companies, Kick Ass in particular, and even with Pleasure I’ve gained a lot of notoriety,” Madness said. “The things I’ve shot have won over a dozen awards.”
Madness' post-production company, Madness Post, employs four full-time editors and has one high-def system.
Valley Girls and Legal Tender will be the names of the first two series that will be released and distributed by Madness Pictures. An all-anal series, Ass Driven, is slated for release soon after. Madness Pictures will release their first feature, starring Ron Jermey, two months later.
