Janet Jacme Web Page
Evan McGuiver writes: "Gene, wanted to let you know I started a Janet Jacme webpage at jasminesfriends.com called Planet Janet. Was hoping, with you being the No. 1 adult writer if you could help me get linked with AVN as well as get this news into your column."
Sex Slider Shag-A-Rama
Having directed "Lethal Information" (Private Gold 32), "Cuntry Club" (Private Gold 34) and several vignettes for XXX and Triple X Files, Kovi has stepped behind the camera once again and has shot a completely new feature. Lensed in Hungary, "Sex Slider" [being released in October] is an adventure film about journeying through time.
Kovi provides nearly 100 minutes of hardcore, with 7 torrid sex scenes all 100% Private style. Two girls (Dru Berrymore and Caroline) and two boys (David Perry and Steve Holmes) have the power to travel through space and constantly take trips to parallel universes.
When the film begins, the two couples are enjoying themselves in a tremendous gang bang, but with no more time to waste, they jump into the space-tunnel that opens the door to a new dimension, a new place and a new adventure. In this video release, our heroes and heroines slide to a world that has outlawed sex. The dictator who rules this place sends every couple caught having a fuck to a re-educating program.
Only the richest are allowed to have sex, and they submit the rest of the population and make girls their slaves. There is also a resistance force that tries to fight against this dictator and its members have sex as a rebellious act. Our four space-travelers are really astounded, not being able to conceive a world without sex. They discover that things are not very easy in such a place, especially when the local "sex police" arrest the girls and the guys have to run away to fight another day. The studs get in touch with the Resistance, which helps them rescue the ladies. In that mission, they discover that the dictator is not an evil man, but a cute babe.
When the male travelers realize this, they seduce her and procure her so much pleasure that she turns into a DP enthusiast. The rules are now about to change in this strange world, so it's time for the sliders to get into the tunnel again to visit another parallel universe. What will they find there? More adventures and sex, for sure! Dru Berrymore and Caroline are the leading girls in "Sex Slider".
Both are well-known to Private fans - Dru starring in several vignettes for Pirate Video Production under Frank Thring's direction, and Caroline being the main character in "Indecency" (PBL 3 & 4), a film by Pierre Woodman.
The female cast is completed by Cassandra Wilde, as the leader of the Resistance, Csilla, Noemi, Ophelie and newcummer Jenny, an alluring 21-year-old brunette who gets her tight ass screwed with ease.
Nevertheless, the most remarkable aspect to "Sex Slider" is the appearance of the gorgeous Nikki Andersson. Nikki had not worked with Private since "The Fugitive 2" (Private Gold 23), but comes back playing the role of the dictator, and is seduced by David Perry and Steve Holmes who ram their cocks into her pillowy ass and DP her until they empty their wads in her mouth.
Apart from the scene with Andersson, Perry and Holmes, there are another six electrifying hardcore scenes featuring blowjobs, cunt-licking, titjobs, anal sex, DPs, facials, lesbian foreplay and a great 7-person orgy that will leave everyone stupefied.
Release date: October 1999; Location: Hungary Director: Kovi Cast: Dru Berrymore, Caroline, Cassandra Wilde, Nikki Andersson, Ophelie, Csilla, Noemi, David Perry, Steve Holmes, Freddy Dalton, Robert Rosemberg, Nick Lang and Frank Major.
Caroline, 23, is one of the stars of "Sex Slider". She was born in Hungary, and, since her arrival at Private, has experienced a career climb to the top of international adult video stardom. Her first work in the adult entertainment industry was for Pierre Woodman, who encouraged her in shooting "Indecency" (Private Black Label 3 and 4).
Caroline did such a good job for Woodman that John Millerman chose her for one of his most important releases for Private, "The Uranus Experiment" (Private Black Label 6 and 7).
Q: For you, what is the most exciting in sex? CAROLINE: I like orgies (she says with lascivious eyes). I like being fucked while other couples have sex next to me at the same time.
Q: What gives you most pleasure? \nC: I really enjoy vaginal sex, although I have no problems doing anal sex or double penetrations in my job. I love all kinds of penetrations!
Q: One of your sexual fantasies is... \nC: To fuck on the wing of an aeroplane. I think this would be very exciting!
Q: What are your favorite sex positions? \nC: I especially like doggy, and spoon.
Q: What kind of cock do you prefer? \nC: The most important for me is the way the boy fucks, so that's why I don't need big cocks. I like normal size dicks, but its owner has to be a good fucker.
Q: Do you like sucking cocks? \nC: Yes, I love using my mouth and tongue to make the dick rock-hard!
Q: What about fetish sex? Do you like it? \nC: Yes, I like fetish very much. It makes me feel different.
Q: Do you normally use dildoes to calm your sexual appetite? \nC: No. When I want to have sex, I just take a boy. It's easy, isn't it? (She laughs)
Q: And how many times do you want to have sex? \nC: Always! (laughs) I fuck everyday.
Q: How did you start in the business? \nC: My first work was for Pierre Woodman in Rio. He wanted me to star in "Indecency". It was great flying to Brazil... we had a good time there.
Q: What were you doing when Woodman discovered you? \nC: I was working in a restaurant. It was really boring! (She smiles)
Q: What is your idea of a perfect partner? \nC: Big, strong and rich (she says this without the slightest doubt).
P: Are you married or dating someone? \nC: Yes, I have a boyfriend.
Q: And what does he think about your job? \nC: He doesn't like it, but he has to accept it.
Q: What are your future projects? \nC: Keep on working in the business, of course!
Ophelie, 21, begins "Sex Slider" with an amazing orgy, staging four vicious girls and three stallions having all kinds of sex. Although her contribution to the film finishes at the end of the orgy, Ophelie really does a good job for Kovi. "Sex Slider" is the Hungarian starlets second film for Private. Her first role was in "Tatiana 2", when she proved that she had an exceptional future in this business.
Q: What kind of sex do you prefer? \nOPHELIE: I'm bisexual, and I specially like group sex. I enjoy having an orgy like the one in "Sex Slider".
Q: What are your favourite cocks? \nO: I like the small but playful ones. The length is not important for me.
Q: And do you like sucking cocks? \nO: Yes. I love bringing a boy to orgasm by using my wet tongue.
Q: Do you like eating the semen? \nO: Well, (she stops and thinks) I like having a dick in my mouth but I prefer not to swallow. Anyway, I have no problem if the director of a film asks me to do it.
Q: For you, what's the best sex position? \nO: I enjoy fucking when I sit on a cock. In this position I can move easily and I can control the situation. The boy has nothing to do if I'm sitting on his cock! (She laughs).
Q: What do you enjoy most: vaginal, anal sex or double penetrations? \nO: I prefer vaginal. I have anal sex and double penetrations during the shootings, but I don't specially like it.
Q: What about masturbation? Do you use dildos? \nO: No. I think I'm a lucky girl because my sexual appetite is always satisfied. I don't need dildoes. If I want sex, I just do it.
Q: So, then, how often do you have sex? \nO: Everyday!
Q: Have you tried fetish or bondage? \nO: Yes, I love the sensation of playing fetish games. It's different from normal fucking.
Q: What were you doing before starting in this business? \nO: I worked in a pub in Hungary.
Q: You are dating someone, aren't you? \nO: Yes (her eyes shine when she talks about her boyfriend).
Q: And what does your boyfriend think about your job? \nO: He doesn't like it very much, but he respects me and my job.
Q: What are your aims and future projects? O: I would like to continue in the business. I think there are a lot of things that I still can do in this line of work.
Naked Fan Photo Party '99
We're only hearing about it now, but, for the record, Naked Fan Photo Party '99 took place in Las Vegas on September 4th, with 35 fans from around the world coming to eat, drink, and party with their favorite porn stars. The co-hostesses of the six-hour event were Kim Chambers, Lisa Lipps, Minka and Suzi Suzuki. Structured and impromptu photo sessions allowed the fans ample opportunity to photograph, videotape, and mingle with, the ladies.
The first Naked Party was held by Lisa Lipps in New York in early '99, and got great response, so a regular event was born. Each party is held in a luxury suite at an exclusive hotel. The gentlemen purchase advance tickets, and are given VIP treatment from start to finish. The atmosphere is informal and relaxed, and attendance is limited. A handful of the most recent party's attendees had also attended the first party, with the majority hearing about it through the websites of the hostesses, or during the Exotic Dancer Fan Fair the day of the party.
An online photo brochure of the event can be found at http://kimchambers.com and http://lisalipps.com. Naked Fan Photo Party 2000 is already being planned for Las Vegas. Interested parties should contact one of the co-hostesses through her website.
Old Girl Scout site features pornography
At least until this morning, a Ukranian porno Web site had taken over the Internet address once assigned to a local Girl Scout council. Least to say, it created a headache for the organization. During the summer, the Black Diamond Girl Scout Council, based in Charleston, West Virginia surrendered ownership of the website address www.blackdiamondgirlscouts.com because officials felt it was too long. The group switched to www.bdgsc.org.
But the old address was snapped up earlier this month by Internet Domains Group in the Ukraine. Consequently, visitors to www.blackdiamondgirlscouts.com were automatically redirected to a hardcore site.
"We were not pleased," said the Black Diamond council's executive director, Susan Thompson. "We're concerned that we serve the youth and clearly this is not appropriate."
The Black Diamond Girl Scout group, which represents 55 counties in four states including West Virginia, didn't suspect anything was wrong until it began getting phone calls last week. Some parents, unaware of the Web site change, complained the old Internet address took them to a pornography site featuring lurid sex scenes.
In cypberspace, this is nothing new. Pornography sites regularly register domain names that seem exactly like or are similiar to mainstream sites. The most famous example involves the White House: www.whitehouse.gov takes you to the President's homepage, while www.whitehouse.com takes you to a sex site.
Earlier this week, Mattel the toy company filed suit over copyright infringement against the owners of www.barbiesplaypen.com, a pornography site.
Baydil Offered to Rat Out
Jody "Babydol" Gibson, 41, the Los Angeles woman arrested for allegedly operating a call girl ring catering to the rich and famous was in Van Nuys Court last week and this week facing prelimnary hearings to determine if she should go on trial for pimping and pandering charges.
Earlier this week, a police office testified that Gibson tried to stay out of jail by promising to turn in rival madams. Los Angeles Police Department Detective Razmig Kertenian, testified that the accused madam was taken into custody in June shortly after one of her prostitutes offered him oral sex in a posh hotel room.
According to Kertenian, Gibson at the time, said: "I don't want to go to jail. This is a very bad time for me to go to jail. You can have any information you need from me. I just don't want to go to jail."
Kertenian posed as a wealthy Lebanese businessman during a 10-month sting operation. He claims Gibson also offered to rat out on other madams.
Gibson, a subject of an October LA Magazine article, and her publicist have told reporters that Gibson is an aspiring singer about to restart her career with a new single, "Good Girls Go to Heaven; Bad Girls Go Everywhere."
Prosecutors say Gibson ran an international call girl ring whose advertisements appeared on the Internet and whose clients included Hollywood actors and producers, company chief executives, and at least one professional athlete. Kertenian said he met one of Gibson's alleged prostitutes in a hotel room, where she stripped naked and reached for his crotch before he called in backup officers.
Kertenian said he also interviewed two of Gibson's alleged call girls, identified in court only as Lianne D. and Kimberly K., who told him Gibson had hired them as prostitutes.
He said Lianne D. told him she had been working for Gibson for two years, having gone on 25 to 30 "calls." He quoted her as saying she usually charged clients between $1,000 and $3,000 for a session and sent Gibson 40 percent of the payment through a messenger service.
Kertenian said Kimberly K. told a similar story, although she had only been working for Gibson since February. Kimberly K. told the detective that Gibson would often brief her on the particulars of certain clients. One was a man described in court only as a wealthy resident of Beverly Hills.
"She said in this case, the defendant told her to dress like a teen-age girl or a young girl because this gentleman had a fantasy of having sex with his daughter," Kertenian said.
Kertenian said Kimberly K. quit working for Gibson shortly after the alleged madam threatened her for not sending her portion of the fee on time.
"The defendant called and said, 'You'd better send me the money right away, or I'll send my associates to see you, and hey are professional bounty hunters,"' Kertenian said, adding, "She sent the money right away and shortly after that quit working for the service."
Last week, an accused prostitute called as a witness was excused by the judge after refusing to testify. Kelly Ashton declined to answer questions from defense lawyer Gerald Scotti about whether she had ever worked as a call girl, if she had been enticed into prostitution by Gibson or if she had been offered immunity by prosecutors.
"I respectfully refuse to answer on the grounds that the answer may incriminate me," the tall, blond Ashton said four times, reading from a piece of yellow legal paper given to her by her lawyer.
After Ashton's lawyer told the court that his client would continue to invoke her rights under the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Gregg Marcus excused her.
Scotti has said that several women implicated by prosecutors in the case including Ashton have refused to cooperate with the defense. He has asked Marcus to make sure they come to court.
Also, last week, an undercover police officer told a court that Gibson tried to hire her as a $1,000 per-night prostitute. Called as the first witness in the preliminary hearing for Gibson, Cynthia Neff told a judge that Gibson agreed to hire her as a prostitute after a face-to-face meeting at a Los Angeles coffee shop.
The tall, blonde Neff, who works as an undercover officer in the LAPD's Organized Crime and Vice Division, said Gibson offered to send her on trips to New York, Denver and Houston, where she had clients.
"She said most clients paid $1,000 and all calls included sex," Neff said. "Some calls involved required oral (sex), and some did not." She said Gibson also advised her that the money was split "60-40," meaning that the prostitute collected 60 percent of the fee and Gibson 40 percent.
Later in the hearing, prosecutors played tapes of a meeting between the two at the coffee shop, where Gibson is heard offering Neff a trip to Denver, where she can make $3,000 for a day's "work."

Mike Ross Comments on Free Speech
In the wake of a flurry of resignations to the Free Speech board, Mike Ross of the National Caberet Association, offered these comments
Ross: "Just because I disagree with the operations of the board of Free Speech does not mean I disagree with Free Speech and the concepts it stands forth. I can't afford, because of what goes on in the political process, to have them disappear. I'm very concerned with what's going on with the board. I do also know from a professional standpoint that some of the problems the board members have, could be eliminated if the Free Speech Coalition board upgraded itself and used the concept of modern technology that we as an industry are creating. Instead of requiring everybody to come to every board meeting, why can't we do a mass conference call, or use the computer over the Internet?
"The problem is to get Mr. X to walk out of his office, drive across town, and sit in a meeting - when people don't show up, or can't make a decision or it takes an hour to get there because you know what LA is like. The reality is you need to do something to meet their specific needs.
"Conference calls - a little more expensive, but once the guys understand it, it's cost effective, you don't have to travel, they love it. I have them on a regular basis. We got to use that kind of stuff.
"The title of my organization is the National Cabaret Association. Real specific, real understandable, real direct. The Free Speech Coalition is made up of people into Free Speech. My members can join theirs. Their members can join me. The problem is for someone like VCA to turn around and do something for the Cabaret Association. They'll do it because I ask, but it's not the video association. I think what Free Speech needs to do, once they've adopted this new concept of how they run their board meetings, is they need to turn around and look at the bigger picture - a guy like Mike South, Mike Ross or a Christi Lake, we're all spread out - why couldn't we all be in one place at one time with conferencing? It opens up to more participation. As a result, you get better product, better involvement.
"That's the kind of stuff we need to look at along with the restructuring of the board. I love how Jeffrey Douglas has been saying we need a lobbyist in Washington. I agree. I went and registered. Cabaret guys are using me exclusively back there. Video guys can use me. I'm not worried about my expenses. They're paid for. I'm making money. Everything is moving ahead.
"Gloria Leonard is saying, 'We don't have the money.' It's not the money. It's a commitment to a program. That's the next thing you do. They're looking for an executive director when I have volunteered to do it for free. They all know it. They don't want it.
"A lot of guys are disenchanted because there's no program. I'm offering an opportunity for people to be involved and create one. I operate from a business standpoint. They're operating from a non-profit standpoint. You can operate a non-profit as a business and still be in good shape. Structurally, the things they need to do is professionalize the board. What we used to do with the United Jewish Appeal was have retreats. We'd go away and have someone from the United Way teach us how to be a board, how to operate professionally, how to vote, how to research issues, how to hire staff, how to promote, all that kind of stuff. And it's free for 501C3's of which Free Speech is. I suggested that they have somebody come in and teach them how to run their board. But they don't want to do it.
"Modernization, quality-stuff, I think that's very important. I think what we're seeing here is a re-modernization of Free Speech. It's going to come back in some particular form.
"Mark Kernes, Jane Hamilton and I have had conversations about raising money for Free Speech. My intention is to show how to lobby in the 21st Century. My methods may not be the best or the worst, but I'm raising money, I'm effective, I'm doing what needs to be done."
Ross attributes his volume of activity to hiring people to do little projects. "I'm operating my system on a business foundation. I take it very personally. I'm very concerned about where money goes. There's a whole lot of things that need to go into building an infrastructure. I've done that. Conversely, I don't think Free Speech has done it in a proper way. I'm surprised when I've offered to participate - I'm willing to spend my own money, I want to do this, I've been denied every opportunity to participate on the Free Speech Coalition board. I want to put on an event. They don't want me to. I want to raise money for them. They don't want to take my money. They don't want me to lobby for them. The problem with this industry is the egos."
[Ross offers further comment in a posting update.]
Cramer Plants Kiss of Death on Sound Stage
Sometimes it pays to read the end credits of a movie. And you might want to check out the ones for director Nic Cramer's new film, Trigger, for Pleasure Productions. Therein contains a rather backhanded vote of no confidence for a particular mainstream soundstage in Los Angeles where the film was shot.
We quote from the credits, "The filmmakers extend a big no thanks to to....; and all its representatives for their complete lack of cooperation, poor hospitality, iffy ethics and atrocious services given to us during the making of this film." Cramer was asked about the kiss of death which he planted on the studio's cheek.
Cramer: "I shot this in May or June. It's a very exciting place and they have phenomenal sets. They have about 20 different sets including an exact replica of the City Hall rotunda. It was very intriguing for us but out of our price range for adult. It was three to eight grand a day. But they were desperate. TV season was over and they decided to go slumming in the porn world. Michael Ninn and myself shot there. After that, nobody else went back. The woman that books the stage was a raging bitch every single time I talked to her. I had taken out insurance and permits for the place, but she was holding me hostage. She threatened to drop the whole damn thing. She started going, 'Oh, you can only shoot over there in that corner, but you can't angle this way. And you can only use three of 22 sets. They were literally following me around and making me pick up cigarette butts. I personally scrubbed the bathroom floor that I hadn't used. Stuff like that. They were major assholes. Rarely have I been treated that poorly.
"They had us jump through hoops. All this because they resented the deal they had made. I got the place, basically I stole it. Instead of saying we made a mistake, we want more money, they tried to kill me with extras - cleaning fees, flux capacitor fees, whatever. It was ridiculous. I paid what I owed and left skidmarks in the parking lot.
"They're located at 6th and Alameda in downtown LA. It's a beautiful, humongous soundstage but are not geared up for what we do." Cramer said he became aware of the stage through friend, Michael Raven.
Want to know the name of the studio? Guess you have to read the credits. It pays.
IVD at Atlantic City
In what might become the battle of the booths at Atlantic City [IVD vs. GVA], IVD along with Pleasure Productions, Outlaw, Al Borda and Plum will feature the following performers: Ginger Lynn, Crystal Knight, India, Nina Hartley, Cheyenne Silver, Elle, Ashlyn Gere, Kristi Myst, Jake Steed, Vanessa Del Rio, Capri Cameron, Amber Michaels, Sierra, Sunset Thomas and Tyler.
Aborted Fetus Prompts Jack to Skip
Jack Hammer says his now ex-girlfriend and former business partner Cheyenne [not Cheyenne Silver] gave him an aborted fetus for Father's day. "She left a message on my voicemail which I recorded for my attorney," says Jack, quoting: 'By the way, Happy Father's Day. Where do you want me to send the baby blanket to?'
Needless to say, Jack, in turn, aborted his business relationship with Cheyenne. "Besides that, she screwed up inside sources she had with Playboy, a buddy from college. That screwed things up on a cable deal," he said. It cost us $10,000."
But that wasn't the final blow. After another fight, Cheyenne apparently told Jack he needed to get away. "I said, fine, I'll take off. I went to my sister's. My family and I went to the lake, when I got back I found out Cheyenne had an affair with some other guy."
That's a stab in the fucking back," he continues. "I told her, you know, you can do porn all day long, but you cross the lines when you have affairs. She's way out of the business, way out of my life. It's now Kevin Beech, George Christy, the president of the Hell's Angels and me." According to Hammer, Beech bought his video series, Barely Legal Biker Babes. Jack says he's now been kicking back with C.J. Bennett. "She's a really nice girl."
FSC, Guns, and Videotapes
Lynne Lopatin writes: "Dear Gene: Who does the recent resignations leave ON the FSC Board?
In preparation for my next court date, which is October 19, I am having subpoenad the tape of the 911 call made which introduced me to those cute cops in Dave Hardman's driveway. I think they were cute -- it was hard to see with the flashlights in my face and I wasn't exactly checking them out, but I firmly believe that the LAPD has the cutest cops I've ever seen. I'll let you know if anything interesting is going to happen in court.
"As to the movie, I'm afraid that people won't think it's hard enough -- one of the titles we did reject was 'The Softer Side of Dave Hardman.' And 'Deep Inside Dave Hardman' sounded too gay.
"Dave can be very funny and he sends girls off the deep end when he can fuck them for orgasmic response rather than just camera angles and gratuitous anal, so I hope I've got something different rather than just not raunchy. There are thousands of Dave Hardman titles on the market, almost all of them extremely raunchy and none suitable for TV. Fortunately real girls having real orgasms is okay on TV and showing David's prowess at that is fun, too. Slammy and I will be back to editing by the weekend.
"Meanwhile I am casting for another all ethnic movie to be shot in October and I'm looking for some fine women of color with natural breasts to be in it, so if you see any, send 'em around. Best Regards, Lynne Lopatin. Casino Productions."
South Comments About FSC Board Resignation
Jim South makes it clear that his resignation given to the Free Speech Coalition Tuesday afternoon was coincidental to the ones given by membership committee members Steve Hirsch, Steve Orenstein, Mike Warner and Christian Mann. "In fact, I had told Bill Margold and Jeffrey Douglas two months ago that I wasn't going to run again," South says.
South: "I've been on the board of director, and I'm in my tenth year going way back to when it was the Adult Video Association. I really figured 10 years is enough. I think that they do a lot of good. They contribute to a lot of cases and needy people. There is absolutely no malice whatsoever on my side. I'm going to stay a member. I'm still going to participate in selling tickets to the Night of the Stars and the stuff that I do. To be real honest, I just don't have the time. I'm kind of like Chris Mann. I can barely make the time to go to the meetings. I was also on P.A.W.'s board of directors and I had to quit that six months ago because I don't have the time. They really need people who are full of energy to not only go to the meetings but work on the different committees that you have through them.
"To be real honest, I think Free Speech gets a lot of bad press from people who don't understand the workings of the Free Speech Coalition. Those people work really hard. They do get together as a team. They do a lot of good. Do they make mistakes. Of course. Everybody does. But they do a helluva lot more good than they make mistakes. If some of these people, whether on the Internet actually took the time to investigate, the criticism would be about 85% off. People work their hearts out for this industry.
Mann: Thanks
In the wake of his resigning from Free Speech, Christian Mann called to say: "I wanted to thank you for accurately quoting me. The quote was verbatim including the bad grammar. I didn't want the other board members to think I was out there lambasting the organization. I wanted to be careful and honest at the same time. It was important to link the idea that I think this organization has potential and can be big and important and viable. You did that all. For that I'm grateful. Luke Ford even suggested that I wear a pink teddy and black garters while Steve [Hirsch] and I are having gay sex.
G. Ross: "Do you?"
Mann: "Not only that, I'm part of the Zionist conspiracy. I'm one of the Jews on the board."
G. Ross: "I heard you're now on the Jews For Buchanan committee."
Mann: "I sent Steve a fax saying, 'Good news my conversion is official. I am now a Jew. Where is my money? Bad news. My clothes are at the dry cleaners. I don't know where my pink teddy is.' "
Drake Sets October 27 Date for Next Talent Seminar
Buoyed by the encouraging results of his first seminar for new talent, Steve Drake has already scheduled October 27 for the next one. Likewise, it will be held at The Sportsman's Lodge, the Embers Room. Although Drake enjoyed the co-sponsorship of World Modeling, Anabolic Video, Wicked Pictures and P.A.W., he's looking to get more people into the act.
Drake: Jim [South] wants to move forward on this. He understands the benefit of this program. I emphasized to him that to put people in the seats is the only way that this thing is going to move forward and be successful. All I can do is what I've done to put together the program. Although Jim said he believed in it from the start, I think he really needed to come sit and witness the legitimacy of what we're trying to do. Like so many people in the industry, we are always expecting a letdown and are pleasantly surprised when something is done right. I think that was the case Tuesday night. I was disappointed with the turnout, but everytime you do something new it's crawl before you walk. Actually, having nine guys and four girls in a sessions wasn't bad. I needed a small group that I could do like a test run without having huge implications. I need to work out a few bugs. That was a good rehearsal.
"I'm hoping that next month we'll have a better turnout. Jim and Mitch [Sharon Mitchell] will be handing out flyers emphasizing the program. I'm going to suggest to Jim that he fax a flyer to each of the companies he deals with and, possibly, get the word out. We need to get more sponsorship. It's an uphill battle, but I really believe in this. It's making me feel good about what I'm doing." The venue may change a bit for the next time, but Drake said having an accountant to talk about taxes is a particularly key issue. "Tommy Byron should probably have had this session a long
