Amateur video distributors AMVC.com announced the addition of eight new producers to its lineup.
The company has added gay producers Twisty Media USA, Cocktease Productions, Filthy Pig Productions, and Bold Exploration Video; and straight producers Carlyle Entertainment Group, 6666Productions, Saber Media, and Amateur Flix.
The additions make a total of 189 – 117 gay and 72 straight – amateur video producers in the AMVC stable.
“Major studios slap the word 'amateur' onto their videos for a reason. It’s not because they’re amateur, but because they’re tapping into the market,” Allen McNulty, AMVC.com co-owner, told AVNOnline.com. “We get a lot of emails from people saying that pisses them off, because they’re expecting homemade amateur videos. We know if they’re actors, if it’s scripted, and we know if it’s just some guy or girl who grabs a camcorder and says ‘I have some friends, I can do this.’ They don’t know how to edit, they don’t know about lighting, they don’t know about sound, they don’t know about the things pro companies spend so much time and money on – they just turn on the camcorder and film two people having sex. People who love that genre, that’s what they demand and so the market is really big.”
AMVC has focused on the gay market since 1997 and shifted that focus to include straight, amateur productions two years ago.
