Allegations of Performers Breaking Quarantine; Pending Tests Negative

On the same day that Miss Arroyo was diagnosed as HIV-positive, several people within the industry suggested to the AIM Healthcare Foundation that some performers that were supposed to be quarantined had been working despite the risks.

AIM’s executive director Sharon Mitchell said that she was aware of the allegations that certain people who were quarantined were working anyway.

“The problem is that we are having a really hard time verifying this. We are devastated that people would put the lives of their peers at risk. Their behavior defeats the entire purpose of the quarantine,” Mitchell told AVN.com. “We can only advise that everyone be very, very, cautious if they choose to work with anyone at during this time.”

Mitchell is attempting to develop second-generation lists for the nucleus of Roxx, Dee, and Arroyo, but the people that have been said to be breaking quarantine deny having done so – and without any proof, AIM has to accept their answer.

For this reason, AIM will not identify people who allegedly broke quarantine, but will try to document these allegations to the best of their ability.

As of yet, no one has been released from quarantine. Mitchell suggests that if a performer is told otherwise, they should not believe it. "As people are cleared we will make an announcement to that end, that those individuals are free to work. But no one has been cleared as of yet," she said.

The tests of two male performers that had worked with Jessica Dee and listed as pending have come back negative, a welcome relief as rumors had already started to circulate that a male performer had tested positive. One of the men had been identified as having a pending test result since this Monday, which is likely the source of the rumors.

Mitchell explained the reason why the test results had been “pending” for so long.

“The type of tests we use are very definitive tests; all of them may take three or four days before they come back,” Mitchell said.

“We are using all testing methods that we can possibly think of to make sure that we can identify all of these people at all possible points. We are doing this with the utmost caution for accuracy’s sake.”

The two gay performers that had worked with the transsexual Jennifer have both had negative results three times, and have been cleared out of quarantine.

Miss Arroyo, an approximately 25-year-old brunette from San Francisco who had worked in adult for four years, became the fourth victim of the HIV outbreak today.

Her scene with James, like the three other scenes James was involved in the related cases, included a double anal. It is not known who the other partner was, but Mark Anthony worked with James on the three other scenes. Anthony was negative on his first HIV test after the thirty-day incubation period.

Venus, a white woman who worked with a first-generation male in the Jessica Dee nucleus, has been added to the quarantine list for a scene that was shot on April 4, before the quarantine began.

[Ed. Note: No one has been released from quarantine. When someone is released from quarantine it will be the lead story on AVN.com.

Anyone with information regarding quarantined individuals working, please let AVN.com know. Hard evidence would be great, but any information including: the date and time that the alleged violation of quarantine occurred, the production company that shot the scene, the crew and director of the scene, anyone or anything else that can corroborate the allegation.
