As a result of Darren James HIV-positive diagnosis, the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation (AIM) has compiled a quarantine list of nine first- and second-generation performers in an effort to prevent the spread of the virus.
A first-generation partner is someone who has had sex with James recently. People who have had sex with a first-generation partner are considered second-generation partners.
First-generation performers who have been notified of their quarantine status by AIM are as follows: Laura Rox, Carmen Real, Rhonda Richardson, Jessica D, Marrisa Arroyo.
There is also one first-generation performer, a Canadian female named Patricia, whose last name is not known. AIM has not been able to locate this performer and she is not answering her cell phone.
Patricia is working with Judy Starr and they both were staying at the Ramada Inn. She is possibly from Montreal or somewhere in Quebec as she speaks French.
Anyone with information on Patricia should immediately call AIM.
“Everyone has been very helpful, but obviously if anyone has any information about first generation partners, we’d really appreciate it,” Mitchell said.
First-generation performers will wait until 30 days have passed since their scene with James, then take the PCR-DNA and RNA tests for HIV.
The only second-generation performers known at this time are Marc Anthony and T.T. Boy. They are not considered nearly as high-risk as the first-generation performers.
“We’ve asked them and anyone else who has worked with anyone who has worked with Darren to please refrain from working in the community until the primary quarantine list has cleared out,” Mitchell said.
Mitchell says that everyone should be out of quarantine by May 6 if all goes well, though most people on the list will have cleared even earlier.
