The Adult Freedom Foundation (AFF) has sent a formal request to the office of Congressman Joseph Pitts (R-Penn.) requesting the opportunity to present witnesses for the “Victims of Pornography Summit” on May 19 that he will host.
The AFF said that it could draw from a pool of attorneys, researchers and industry executives who are experts on the adult entertainment industry. It also indicated that AFF spokespersons are volunteering to participate in the panel discussions or appear as speakers.
“We want to provide a balance to the summit that we are told has already invited prosecutors and critics of adult entertainment,” said attorney Paul Cambria, AFF general counsel.
In the letter to Legislative Director Ken Miller, AFF Media Consultant John Pauly points out that “researchers have shown the educational value of pornography and its role in enhancing communications between couples.”
“While adamantly against child pornography, AFF believes adults should be allowed to enjoy erotic entertainment,” Pauly wrote.
