AdultMobileSolutions (AMS) has released mVERIFY, a mobile verification billing alternative that allows for charges to be made directly to a registered credit card or bank account.
Using mobile verification for credit card billing, mVERIFY allows for a unique billing alternative that bypasses the traditional method of making charges to a user’s phone bill. Customers first must register their details— including their mobile-phone number and preferred payment method—online.
mVERIFY provides a unified transaction rate across the channels of SMS, WAP, and Web, meaning larger returns and faster payouts than with reverse billing. Real-time stats, reoccurring billing, and other features are also part of the set.
"We have looked for many, many months at crossing the bridge from SMS payments (reverse billing) and credit-card transactions,” says AMS Director Michael Whelan. “We have released a product that will allow for users to register their credit card information online and use their mobile for other validation checks online to make the purchase. SMS payments can be authorized around the world 24/7 using our Golden Number. The user does not have to be tied to a geographical location or region. No adult restrictions are in place.
“This is the missing link for users who do not want to fill out the same forms time and time again,” Whelan adds. “Once the form is filled out, mVERIFY captures the customer’s information. For future transactions, customers can simply SMS or enter their email and [personal idenfication number] online (like a PayPal system)."
The mVERIFY billing solution will be deployed over the course of 2006 and 2007.
