AdultMobileSolutions has launched a new billing service for WAP sites that allows billing on premium phones in more than 240 countries.
An XML feed is used to communicate between the two platforms: WAP site and the AMS billing system. The service already is live on high-traffic sites such as Mobile1to1, where users can pay for cam time on their mobile phone by calling the premium rate numbers displayed on the WAP payment pages and then gain access to the content/services.
"By offering a plug-and-play billing solution for WAP sites that are looking for alterative billing systems, we felt an XML-based system will be the most preferred, as this allows for dynamic changing of the premium numbers [on the fly] if required," said AMS Director Michael Whelan. "Version 2.0 of this service will also include Web call functions built into the pages."
