With stars such as Christi Lake, Sydnee Steele and Ron Jeremy slated to join in, a Texas group that battles for adult video stores' free speech rights plan a November traveling party in support of free speech rights for their business.
The Save Our Speech organization calls it a "Constitutional Blow-Out Party," scheduled for November 7 and 8 from Dallas to Houston, respectively.
The November 7 event is a four-hour show at Dallas's Gypsy Tea Room, featuring female adult stars dancing, lingerie shows, and other features, including posing for Polaroid shots and signing autographs for fans. The next day, all the stars plus those fans who buy tickets to ride will travel by bus to the City Streets at Houston for a similar party event November 8.
The catch: They won't be selling tickets to ride - they'll be auctioning them, with the proceeds going to SOS.
SOS spokesman A.J. Cromwell says last year's event was a huge success thanks to many adult video companies sending several of their female stars to represent them at the parties. "Even companies that don't have contract ladies choose a few girls to sponsor and represent them at the event," Cromwell says. He says the sooner SOS knows which stars will attend, the more publicity they'll receive via advertisements, articles, covers, and other press releases.
