Adult Source Signs Vengeance to Distribution Deal

Adult Source Media has signed startup production house Vengeance Entertainment to a distribution deal.

Vengeance’s first title under the deal is the newly-released Asian interracial line Lost in Tokyo, featuring Japanese starlets taking on American performers in a series of hard-banging scenes.

Shot in Japan this spring by former Evil Angel director David Lord, the title marks the second of a new Asian interracial series developed by Vengeance, said John Amatucci, Adult Source’s vice president of sales.

“Very few adult studios film in Japan due to the costs, logistics and politics involved. Due to our tremendous relationships in Japan, we feel we are able to produce the most authentic Asian and interracial stuff that is being distributed.”

Vengeance, which began operating earlier this year, produces primarily Asian and European-based titles.

Adult Source is known for distributing Japanese-produced anime titles like the newly-released The Last Konoichi, and scores of other titles.

But its new signing is part of an effort to diversify its offerings, Amatucci said.

“I believe by distributing Vengeance that we’re going to show the diversification of ASM with quality Asian and European product.”

Lost in Tokyo was shot last spring by Lord along with nine other titles using top Japanese starlets and locations around the Japanese islands.

“We’ll be distributing one to two Asian titles per month and Vengeance will be going back to shoot some more so we’re excited about working with them,” Amatucci said.

Meanwhile, Adult Source has also signed famed Italian director Mario Salieri, whose The Secret Life of Jasmin, is already in stores. Salieri’s next title through Adult Source is Anna Brumer, set for release in October.

Its deal with Salieri calls for one release per month.
