WantedList.com founders Anh Tran and Danny Ting are continuing their crossover appeal with an appearance on VH-1’s The Fabulous Life Presents: Sizzling Celebrity Sex Lives. The show will follow celebrities and Hollywood elite “[from] wild nights at high-end strip clubs, to luxury hotels designed for sex, to the fortune they’re spending on X-rated unmentionables,” shedding light on the shrinking gap between the mainstream and adult entertainment worlds.
Tran and Ting established themselves as online DVD-rental giants with the formation of WantedList, a—if not the—leading online rental service for adult videos. Modeled after Netflix, WantedList offers access to more than 15,000 adult DVDs and ships them quickly and discreetly. Customers pay no shipping fees and are able to purchase any of the videos they view.
The success of WantedList has brought much attention to Tran and Ting. The two previously have been featured in Wired magazine and recently were featured in a segment on G4 television network special. WantedList has won back-to-back AVN awards for “Best Retail Site” since 2005.
Sizzling Celebrity Sex Lives will look at the revenue generated by WantedList and other adult industry businesses, as well as how much mainstream celebrities contribute to those profits. The show is scheduled to air on VH-1 on Tuesday, Jan. 23.
