To spite the uncharacteristic humidity outside, hundreds of buyers, distributors, retailers, exporters, mail order companies, home party planners and other industry professionals converged on AVN's Adult Novelty Expo (ANE) Monday at the Sheraton Universal.
The multitude of attendees were welcomed by over 150 exhibitors including the shows sponsors, California Exotic Novelties, Doc Johnson, Nasstoys, Pipedream, and Topco Sales to the year’s premier B2B adult novelty show.
The show, which will run through Wednesday afternoon, spans more than just the Sheraton Ballroom; there are also exhibitors in the Terrace D Suites, the Outside Pavilion (which is nicely air conditioned) and in the Sierra Ballroom at the Hilton Hotel.
In addition to visiting the array of exhibitors, attendees can also take part in seminars given in the Club Room at the Hilton. The seminars will cover topics such as online novelty businesses, educating consumers and zoning and legal issues. Tuesday's seminar on consumer education will begin at 2 p.m. and features panel guests: Shay Martin, co-owner of Vibratex; Candida Royalle, founder and president of Femme Productions; and sexologist Dr. Carol Queen of Good Vibrations.
