Adult Dat Creates Industry Database: 'Quarantine Lists Can Be Generated in Seconds'

In the wake of the recent HIV scare in the adult industry, a new adult industry database for producers, directors, and content shooters has been created at AdultDat.com.

"AdultDat is for anyone who shoots sexually explicit content for video or the Web," said Desi Benjamin of Subculture Multimedia, who is organizing the project along with the U.K.’s Girls Kissing and SearchExtreme.com’s Adam Grayson, who will handle the technical aspects of the site. "We have built a database system so that directors, producers, or content shooters can log into the system and record who worked with whom, and on what date. This way, in case of an outbreak, quarantine lists can be generated in a matter of a seconds."

The Web-based system can be used to track scenes by entering data such as the shoot date, cast list, and sexual acts performed. AdultDat is working hand in hand with the Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation (AIM), which will have access to the database to assist in their goal of regularly testing performers and keeping the industry free of HIV and other sexually-transmitted diseases.

AdultDAT said the data will be kept completely confidential; meaning that unless an outbreak occurs, studios can only see their own scene information.

AdultDat and AIM are encouraging all companies that are shooting hardcore adult scenes for video or the Web to log their information into the database.

"The back-end reporting of AdultDat.com's database was always meant for AIM Healthcare's use," Benjamin said. "Hopefully, the directors and studio owners will embrace it and put in the data that can be used to swiftly make quarantine lists in the future if needed.”

“Our goal is to have all video and Web content producers use the system to log what they shoot on a given day,” Benjamin added. “Five minutes out of their busy schedule might save someone's life down the road."

The site also features a resource section containing useful information for producers and directors such as agency listings, location contacts, makeup artists, rental listings, and more.

To set up a new account, just visit to the signup page. AdultDat will send a confirmation e-mail to get you started logging your scenes.

AdultDat is non-profit and free-to-use for all adult companies.
