Adam & Eve, the nation's leading adult mail order catalog company, announced that Friday, August 20, 1999 will be National Bare Buns Day.
"Our goal is to get as many people as possible to express their sexual freedom by going without underwear on Bare Buns Day," Director of Public Relations Katy Zvolerin said. "There will be radio promotions across the country until August 20th with Juli Ashton as spokesperson."
Ashton, in her second year as Adam & Eve's spokesperson, has appeared in several adult videos, including The Devil in Miss Jones 5 and Latex, and received the 1997 "Positive Image" Award at the Free Speech Coalition's annual Night of the Stars. The Award was created specifically for her.
"The adult industry has come a long way. People who would never touch us before are recognizing and sponsoring us," Ashton said. "In keeping with Adam & Eve's "sex positive" image, National Bare Buns Day is just a baby step toward bigger and better things - like National Masturbation Day."
Adam & Eve's "sex positive" stance centers around its platform that consenting adults should have the right and opportunity to enjoy sexual experiences within the privacy of their own homes; and adults have the right and private avenues to purchase products to enhance sexual pleasure.
Adam & Eve was founded in 1970 by Phil Harvey and is located in North Carolina. For more information on National Bare Buns Day, contact Zvolerin at (919) 644-8100 ext. 3121.
