Accolades, Solicited Fake Male Orgasm Advice For WantedList.com

WantedList.com is reveling in praise from sources like Time Out New York and Bitch - and some unexpected advice seeking from Details

The latter involved that popular men's magazine being "so taken" with WantedList.com's founders that Details asked for WantedList's "expert opinion" on faking a male orgasm, and the art thereof, for their August issue.

"I wouldn’t call myself an expert in this matter," said co-founder Anh Tran, "but more of someone who’s knowledgeable from personal experience as well as being on adult movie sets."

Tran says that with one former lover, he would tell her how great their sex had been, then – comparable to the scene in the Beatles' "Norwegian Wood" – kiss her and sneak off to the bath. But unlike "Norwegian Wood," he didn't sleep in the bath – he threw away his condom. "The key," Tran says, "is to flush your unused condom down the toilet and not throw it away into the trash."

Then, there's the pina colada technique, according to Tran. "(T)here have definitely been times on sets where the male talent just can’t finish due to whatever reason, and pina colada mix is called into play," he says. "But I just want to clarify that for me, faking doesn’t happen often… it’s just from time to time a man can’t finish and needs a break without being looked at as a freak.”

Beyond Details, WantedList was reviewed by Time Out New York in its July 17-24 issue, where that publication praised WantedList's self-conscious sense of humor and called it a "hip(per) choice." Bitch raved, in its Summer 2003 issue, about WantedList's "no muss, no fuss" online service, "and no lecherous weirdos checking me out while I'm perusing the racks for Candida Royalle."

"Lucky for us, we haven’t had any bad press so far and anything that’s ever been written about us has been absolutely positive,” Tran says. “Being used in a few articles as authorities in a field does really well for us – it allows people to see the personalities behind WantedList. I’ve always believed that if we were able to connect to our customers and potential customers beyond just WantedList, it would do well for the company.”
