GLENDALE, Calif.—The Nocturne Theatre, a regional playhouse near the sprawling Glendale Galleria and steps away from Glendale's Brand Boulevard commercial district, was the venue for "The Abella Show," a new podcast from Brazzers Creator. (photo galleries)
The surprisingly intimate theater, with a sunken stage surrounded on all four sides by plush red seats, is dominated by a backlit neon-looking sign with "The Abella Show" logo. On a round red carpet, two Art Deco gold-and-black chairs face an Art Deco gold-and-black glass-topped table, with an identical table stage right with pink roses in a vase. A small musical combo sets up on an elevated platform in the back corner of the room, with guitar, sax, stand-up bass and drum players visible. Three cameras on tripods are outside the perimeter of the red rug, two for close-ups and one master shot. The band warms up, playing riffs from jazz classics—Night Train, Take Five, Manhã de Carnaval—as they work out cues with a producer.
The lobby is filled with "The Abella Show" logo swag bags, with a red carpet along one side wall with a logo step-and-repeat, and an open bar. Publicist Brian Gross mingles as Codey Steele, Kira Noir, Peter Warren walk in. Photographers walk around, shooting stills and video. Manuel Ferrara, Abigaiil Morris, Summer Kline, Gal Ritchie. Talent rep Mark Spiegler shambles in, wearing a black T-shirt saying I SWEAR IT'S ABELLA'S FAULT in red letters. Michael Jackson's Bad plays in the background. Spotted in the crowd: Daniel Shar, Seth Gamble, Armani Black, Karla Lane, Jayden Stone, Leana Lovings, Holly Randall, Charlie Forde, Summer Col, Blake Blossom, Cheerleader Kait, Leilani Li, Cyber Doll, Aleksa Mink, Chanel Camryn, Ricky Greenwood, Yhivi, Sarah Arabic.
When the theater opens up, the backlit neon sign is revealed to be a video screen, showing images of Abella Danger conducting interviews. As people take their seats, a warmup comic starts the show, recognizing Girthmasterr in a front row seat ("Try and keep your dick off the stage.") before the countdown and the announcer's excited introduction of "your host — the one, the only, the magnificent... Ait feel bella Danger!"
Danger enters to a prolonged ovation, encouraged by a PA waving APPLAUSE signs, wearing a shiny white bandeau top with an Abella Show logo over her right breast and matching miniskirt and asking "Does it feel good to be in danger?" She recounted her disappointment at a college football game getting caught by the ESPN cameras "and there's a million men watching this game screaming 'I know that girl' and having to lie to your girlfriends and wives when they ask 'From where?' My team lost and I went home, miserable, only to wake up and receive a screen grab from that miserable moment from every single person in my contacts list." She then rhetorically asked "How many times can the same ass with the same Award?" — theatrically pirouetting to show off the ass in question, and the large Abella Show logo on the back of the skirt. She recognized Mark Spiegler, her agent, thanking him for "taking the time to dress up so formally," director Ricky Greenwood ("You're everything the outside world considers a porn director to be. You're big, you're hairy, you've got tattoos — but you're just a kind, kind Canadian man.") and performer/director Ricky Johnson: "He has such a big, giant, I mean huge... ass! He tried to cop my award, and I'm not happy."
The first guest was Scott Nails, with a bandaged nose, and when Danger asked about it he said "You know exactly why it's there.... To fill everybody in, we're shooting a movie, she's playing herself, and she punches me right in the face." When Danger asked if acting was a passion of his, he said "No. I just fuck." Danger drew him out on his favorite comedy movies and when he said "I like to read" she responded "That's shocking." Nails said his favorite movie in his career was AVN's 2025 Grand Reel winner Gold Diggers: "Horses, guns, whores... Action."
After a break, Danger welcomed her second guest, Abigaiil Morris, who admitted "I'm nervous, as usual, but it's fun." After Danger recounted Morris's year of winning the Brazzers House competition, getting signed as a Brazzers exclusive, and hosting the AVN Awards in January, Morris said "Reality really set in for me after I hosted the AVNs... Going from being socially awkward and home schooled to hosting the biggest Awards show in the adult industry is just, like, mind-blowing." Speaking of hosting the show, Morris said "I kept repeating to myself, 'Don’t pass out.'... The completely crazy experience of working hard to develop myself as a performer and to be the person that I am now, versus the 13-year-old home schooled kid that couldn’t say 'Hi' without shaking."
Morris said that at one time she wanted to be an orthopedic surgeon, when she was dealing with a knee injury and started watching videos and thinking "this is so cool. I wanted to touch and move ligaments around. As we all do. But my creativity led me into cosplay, and cosplay led me into walking topless into New York, and eventually led me into the career and the moment now." Speaking of cosplay, Morris said she likes to take her favorite characters "and turn them into sluts" and teased a big Brazzers Creator project: "It's a secret for now. It's wildly nerdy, quirky, definitely fuckin' weird... I can’t wait to share more about it."
When Danger asked if there's anything Morris won’t try, she replied "I won't watch a horror film, and then sleep with my toes outside the blanket."
The show concluded with a stand-up set by comedian Annie Lederman, who engaged the audience by asking if there were any squirters in the audience, and then observing that "other shows, people are like, 'Not me.'" — which led to audience participation about precisely what squirt is and who has a bush and who doesn't, before Danger returned to the stage to thank her guests and wrap up.
The post-show party took over the lobby and upstairs reception area, with Hailey Rose, River Lynn, Lilly Bell, Cherie DeVille, and Sami Hayes spotted in the crowd. Asked about working to an adult-industry audience, Annie Lederman said "I felt quite flat-chested. I love hot people, I love hot porn stars, I can't get enough of them. It was very fun. A lot of times when you do a show, they're like, 'Can you keep it clean?' Here, it's 'How dirty can you get?' It's delightful. And I learned that squirting is pee, from the experts."
"I've worked towards this for so long and I wanted to not mess up, and I'm grateful that I did it," Danger told AVN. "It was so much fun."
