Raging Stallion Studios’ Hard as Wood was named People’s Choice for the Most Popular Gay Adult Video of the Year on Video-on-Demand (VoD) at the 16th Annual Grabby Erotic Gay Video Awards on Monday.
During the booked-to-capacity gala at the Vic Theater in Chicago, Maleflixxx Director of Business Development Warren Wickens commented, “We believe that it is the consumer who really determines the ‘best of the best.’ That’s why the Maleflixxx People’s Choice Award was created: to give fans a voice in honoring the best in gay adult entertainment.”
Fans chose from a list of 10 nominees and voted via the Maleflixxx site. Eligibility was determined not by release date, but by popularity among VoD customers. Hard as Wood took the honor from a roster of titles that also included Big Blue Productions’ The Matrixxx: A Muscle Explosion, Falcon Studios’ The Recruits, High Octane’s Score, Hot House’s Manhunt: The Movie, Kristen Bjorn’s Crossroads of Desire, Lucas Kazan Productions’ Italian for the Beginner, MSR Videos’ Hell Room, Matt Sterling’s A Matter of Size 2, and Studio 2000’s Ace in the Hole.
Hard as Wood, directed by Chris Ward and Michael Brandon, was released in 2005.
