3 Vision Entertainment boss Allan Smith doesn’t mind taking chances once in a while.
“It’s a great idea that people are going to love.” said Smith, of his company’s latest release Sex Gallery.
Featuring performers painting colorful art while doing hardcore sex scenes, Sex Gallery is a departure from the company’s other gonzo releases and its high-end features.
“It’s not like anything I’ve ever seen,” Smith said.
Directed by Nick Urbano, Sex Gallery’s opening scene features Trina Michaels and Jerry. In the scene, they wear body paint in unusual striped designs as they paint a canvas and each other in a black-lit white room.
They seemingly glow in the dark as they interact and have sex in various positions.
“It has that strange, esoteric feel that makes it that much more erotic,” Smith said.
Even with its glow-in-the-dark visuals and lack of dialogue, the scene is all the more compelling, Smith said.
“You can sense the energy and the emotion they’re feeling and it comes across to the audience.”
AVN Award-winner Sandra Romain also makes her mark in a surreal scene with Jeremy Steele as they paint and work each other over to the background sounds of techno music. Young Ariel X tries her hand at some painting in a masturbation scene and in a separate lesbian scene with Michaels.
While the body paint on the performers eventually washed off, the artwork created during the sex scenes themselves has remained for display in erotic art shows, Smith said. He plans to auction the pieces to benefit the Free Speech Coalition and the Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation.
