A new Web-service company launched this week, aiming at making it easier to exchange 2257 documentation.
Entertainment Records released the multi-platform 2257ok, which integrates with record-keeping software and delivers complete 2257 documents from a seller's local database into a buyer's.
Once users have programmed their 2257 database software to interact with the service the program allows secondary producers to access the primary producers’ records.
The primary producer retains sole control of who can access its records; secondary users must be approved before they are granted access. Once approved, secondary producers are notified by the software and users then can download necessary information.
2257ok is compatible with any programming language that supports Web services or XML.
“Our 2257ok Web service makes it hassle-free for a primary producer to distribute the necessary documentation. The secondary producer gets the records imported directly into his local database. This is a huge time and money-saver for everyone,” says Jesse Braun, CEO and engineering architect for Entertainment Records. “In protecting our customers' records, we use the highest quality encryption and security practices above and beyond the industry best practices.”
Key benefits of the service include automatic upload and download of records, automatic detection and download whenever an existing record is edited by a primary producer (for example, if a primary producer corrects a misspelling, secondary producers receive an immediate update), and no more manual distribution of 2257 documents.
“We started working on this program as soon as the [record-keeping] bill was signed,” says company spokesperson Tammy Zhang. “We see this as an opportunity to help the adult online industry be more efficient.”
