2005 AVN Exhibitor List Nearly One/Fifth Larger; Pre-Sales for Fans Stops Friday

Home Entertainment Events (HEE) reports that exhibit space at the 2005 AVN Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE) has sold out, with an 18 percent increase in exhibitors compared to last year’s event.

“We are very pleased not only that our longtime exhibitors are joining us again this year, but that so many new companies representing a wide diversity of products are participating in the show,” HEE spokesperson Carrie Dieterich said. "With both trade and fan registration tracking ahead of last year, we fully expect this show to be the most successful and productive AVN Adult Entertainment Expo to date!”

According to Janet Gibson, who manages AEE for Home Entertainment Events, the addition of the GAYVN Expo, a section of the AEE show floor set aside for the gay adult industry to exhibit, and the return of an expanded B2B Marketplace account for the majority of the increase in exhibitors. “ I would say its definitely a combination of the B2B Marketplace, which keeps getting bigger with the addition of new novelty companies, and the GAYVN Expo,” Gibson told AVN.com.

This is the second year in a row that a significant number of new adult novelty companies have exhibited for the first time at AEE.

Last year AEE debuted the Gay Product Showcase, a mini-show within AEE that was popular enough to be expanded into the GAYVN Expo this year. Over 30 gay adult companies will exhibit this year.

The AVN Adult Entertainment Expo will take place January 6-9, 2005 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.

Gibson also reports that presales of general admission tickets for fans are 67 percent higher than they were at this time last year. “That’s primarily because we’ve marketed the idea of pre-sales this year, though the advantages of ordering tickets in advance are obvious when you see the line to get in the door,” she said.

Pre-sale tickets entitle the bearer to skip the long lines to enter the AEE show floor.

Tickets for fans will only be available at the pre-sale price of $40 until Friday, though tickets will still be available for $45 at the door.

Members of the adult industry who have yet to register to attend AEE with a trade pass can do so onsite.

Fans who wish to attend may purchase tickets at the cost of $40 online at http://www.ticketweb.com or by calling 866-468-3399. Tickets are also available at the door for $45.
