James-Peter Shotwell is a new adult director whose debut title, Dark Meat Gets a White Treat, was released last week by 1st Strike Entertainment, a division of Nectar Entertainment.
Like much of the production staff associated with Nectar/1st Strike, Shotwell earned his chops working on various mainstream productions, but differs in that he wasn’t recruited; Shotwell approached Nectar’s CEO Sean Logan about trying his hand at Adult after being introduced by a mutual friend. “I’ve always been a huge fan of porn but I never seriously considered directing in adult until I met Sean. Instantaneously, it became something I hadto try,” Shotwell said.
Logan happened to be looking for someone to direct his next interracial video, Dark Meat Gets a White Treat. “We knew in advance that technically speaking, he was more than proficient, but porn is so different from mainstream that success in one arena doesn’t guarantee you’ll do well in the other,” Logan said.
“However, he was so passionate about taking this project on that we felt confident that he would come through.”
And that confidence was well-placed, according to Logan. “James has an appreciation of the female form that is amply evident and contagious, and he uses some very interesting camera angles that enhance the voyeuristic quality of his work,” he said.
Dark Meat Gets a White Treat includes double penetrations, anal, and a variety of boy/girl scenes featuring white girls and black men. The movie showcases the talents of Joey Valentine, Mia Bang, Leah Luv, Krystal Jordan and Mysti May. “Joey Valentine is such a sexual being, I loved watching her in the maelstrom of two black men at the same time,” Shotwell said.
