European affiliate program 1Cash.net is preparing to launch a pay-per-view SMS service for its webmasters in Austria, Sweden, the U.K., Denmark and Germany.
This adds to their recently launched iFrame SMS service available for their U.K. customers.
The iFrame service gives webmasters access to an SMS billing solution, which surfers can use for a seven-day period, and webmasters can post to directly.
“At present, in Europe, SMS is a big revenue area and I’m sure it will be a cash cow in the U.S. when there is the possibility to offer cross-network solutions,” Jens Haxgart, president of 1Cash, told AVNOnline.com. “We currently have experience with conversion rates between 2 to 4 percent on SMS web access.”
The beauty of the iFrame system is that webmasters who use it can choose to use 1Cash content or their own content and optimize it with the SMS option.
“This gives another possibility to convert costumers even better and be very anonymous,” Haxgart said.
1Cash has been using SMS-based billing options since 1998. Currently, 60 percent of their dating site revenue is SMS-generated.
“We can see how SMS is more and more widely used and is gaining a more important role in the adult industry,” Haxgart said.
The company also custom-designed SMS billing services.
