Wantmi.com Launches Algorithm-Powered Short Form Content App

CYBERSPACE—Wantmi, a short-form adult video platform, is now live. A vertical, swipe-able feed of short clips, the platform “is built around something none of its predecessors ever cracked—a recommendation algorithm that actually learns what each viewer wants,” a Wantmi rep said.

Based on the familiar TikTok format, Wantmi’s rep said the site incorporates what "made TikTok a phenomenon in the first place: the algorithm. The result is a category of look-alikes that feel like a random shuffle, not a feed that knows you. Wantmi was built ... algorithm first.”

“A vision-language model watches every clip and builds a machine-readable understanding of what's actually in it,” the rep continued. “The feed represents both content and taste as points in a high-dimensional embedding space and ranks what to show next based on genuine similarity to what a viewer responds to, not crude tags or keyword matches. It optimizes for satisfaction rather than raw watch-time and deliberately explores new tastes instead of trapping viewers in a single loop.”

"Every app in this space copied TikTok's interface and forgot what actually made TikTok work," the anonymous founder of Wantmi explained. "The swipe was never the hard part. The algorithm is. We spent six months building the recommendation engine and refused to launch until it worked."

Wantmi’s operating model does not allow creators to upload content. Clips are recorded inside the app with no file uploads, imports or pre-recorded content. Clips run up to 30 seconds maximum, though a 15-second length is recommended.

"In an internet drowning in AI-generated content, the fact that every clip on Wantmi was recorded by a real person is the entire point," the founder noted. "Record-only protects creators from having their work stolen or cloned, and it guarantees viewers something that's getting rare: what you're watching is real."

For creators, the app acts as a content distribution engine, according to Wantmi’s founder.

“Viewers discover creators in the feed, follow them and click through to wherever the creator already monetizes, whether OnlyFans, Fansly or elsewhere. Wantmi runs ads to cover the cost of its content-analysis and serving pipeline and plans to share ad revenue with creators. Its early library comes from direct partnerships with creators, and it's growing.”

Wantmi is live now at Wantmi.com as a progressive web app. It runs in the browser on iOS and Android.

"There's a lot left to build," the founder said. "But the hard part, an algorithm that understands what people actually want, is working. Everything else compounds from there."
