CYBERSPACE—VR adult content platform SexLikeReal (SLR) has posted a concise VR self-care guide, which looks at "the benefits of VR porn and wellness,” an SLR representative said. The self-care guide will be followed by “a practical performance-anxiety guide,” which will be released on Monday, September 22.
The new guides have been produced to coincide with Sexual Health Week (Sept. 15-21), leading up to World Mental Health Day on October 10. The theme for the week-long online regionally-based sexual health initiative is “Chronically Online.”
SLR’s "evidence-backed VR self-care guide [covers] stress, sleep, consent, privacy, agency [and] healthier solo habits,” the representative said.
The second self-care guide is a “performance-anxiety practice guide for men” featuring “VR exposure, pacing [and] ASMR,” which will go live on Monday.
“With research on VR distraction and mindful pacing, SLR treats VR porn as private, user-controlled self-care,” the representative explained. “The campaign also spotlights ethical production, industry mental-health resources, and ASMR-style relaxation content.”
