JERSEY CITY, N.J.—Screw publisher Phil Autelitano has begun actively recruiting studio partners for ALVIN, a new adults-only streaming device "designed to bring premium adult entertainment back to the living room."
Named in honor of legendary Screw magazine founder Al Goldstein, ALVIN was created in response to the adult industry's loss of television distribution following Roku's removal of adult content in 2022. “Rather than requiring studios to develop dedicated television applications, Alvin utilizes a TV-optimized web browser, allowing viewers to access participating websites using their existing memberships and logins,” a Screw rep said.
"Studios have spent years investing in great websites and premium member experiences," Autelitano noted. "The problem has never been the content. The problem has been getting that content back onto the biggest screen in the house. ALVIN solves that without forcing studios to build and maintain another app."
ALVIN requires little or no technical integration. Existing websites remain the primary destination, enabling studios to continue using their current subscription systems, payment processors, affiliate programs and member management tools, while extending their reach to television viewers.
Screw is currently inviting a limited number of “founding partner-studios” to participate in ALVIN's initial launch, planned for the 2026 holiday season. Participating studios “will receive prominent placement on the platform and will help shape the launch experience as Alvin expands its content offerings.”
"ALVIN is intended to be a platform built with the industry, not just for the industry," Autelitano said. "We're looking for studios that want to be part of bringing adult entertainment back to the television in a way that's simple for publishers and convenient and responsible for consumers."
Studios interested in becoming founding partners or learning more about sponsorship and promotional opportunities are encouraged to contact Autelitano directly at [email protected].
