BARCELONA - International adult giant Private Media Group has partnered with Mobile Streams, a provider of music and video entertainment for mobile devices worldwide, to distribute Private content via the wireless company's off-portal platform.
Using Mobile Streams' Vuesia technology, which is integrated into every major internet search engine, including Google and Yahoo, a wide variety of Private content will be made available to consumers in mobile form. This announcement comes on the heels of another partnership reported Monday by AVN with New Frontier Media, for U.S. broadcast distribution of Private's library on The Erotic Network (TEN).
"Private has always been at the forefront in leveraging new media platforms for distribution of its content," Private COO Peter Cohen told CNNMoney.com. "The partnership with Mobile Streams demonstrates our ongoing commitment to further maximize the Private global brand."
"We are delighted to widen our existing on-portal partnership with Private to include direct-to-consumer channels," said Mobile Streams CEO Simon Buckingham. "Combining Private's high quality content with Mobile Streams' technology and distribution creates an exciting and market leading exclusive range of premium branded content services for consumers around the world."
"We believe there will be strong growth for off-portal delivery of content," Cohen added. "This partnership will facilitate our ability to maximize revenues in this strategic area of wireless content distribution."
The new service will first launch in Europe, with other territories to follow over the remainder of 2007.
