CHARLOTTE, N.C. - PornoTube celebrated the first anniversary of its launch with site upgrades and appearances on two mainstream television shows.
Pornotube's front-page upgrade includes the addition of thumbnails and the removal of the auto-play function for faster media loading. Back-end improvements include better anti-spam filtering and more information to guide users through uploading.
Marketing Executive Suzann Knudsen appeared as the site's spokesperson on Fox News' nationally syndicated morning show "The Mike and Juliet Show" and as an expert on Internet porn on G4TV's "Attack of the Show."
"The popularity of Pornotube has made us into a spokesperson of sorts to the mainstream world when it comes to Internet porn, especially in the amateur sphere," said Kellie Barker of AEBN, Pornotube's parent company. "They keep coming to us because of our high visibility."
Pornotube also has been featured on mainstream websites such as USAToday.com and VH1's BestWeekEver.tv, and in Radar Magazine.
