NEW YORK—Pornhub today unveils Pornhub Sapphic, a new companion site aimed at women-loving-women audiences. The site "prioritizes how women experience and engage with adult content, bringing together creators and videos in a dedicated space for this community," a Pornhub representative said.
"Pornhub Sapphic was created in direct response to feedback from lesbian, queer and straight women who told us they wanted an experience that felt made for them,” explained Alex Kekesi, VP of brand and community at Pornhub. “By working with creators and users, we’ve built a space where women-loving-women content is featured and celebrated. For creators, Pornhub Sapphic offers new opportunities to connect with an engaged audience actively seeking their categories of content. For viewers, it’s about providing women with a dedicated place to explore and enjoy adult entertainment with their experiences and desires in mind.”
According to the Pornhub rep, Women account for 38 percent of Pornhub’s global audience, and “lesbian” is the most viewed category among women. Based on audience feedback, Pornhub Sapphic was built to offer a curated environment "for the female gaze," the rep said, which includes keeping it "free from male-targeted ads like traditional enlargement promotions" in favor of female-focused advertising and programming.
The launch also includes a formal rollout featuring prominent Sapphic creators, including award-winning duo TheJellyFilledGirls.
“We know firsthand how much demand there is for authentic women-loving-women content,” The JellyFilledGirls said. “We’re thrilled to welcome Pornhub Sapphic and be part of bringing it to the Sapphic community.”
