LOS ANGELES—A group of former webcam executives have launched a TikTok-style video site for webcam models to promote their live rooms. The site is a mobile web app with more than 200,000 video views per day, and free for models to direct traffic to any links they choose.
“At any given time, over 80-90% of webcam models are in ‘open chat’ searching for customers to pay for private shows," says Jeff Wilson, former vice president at Flirt4Free. "Even on good days, webcam models are always looking for ways to increase traffic in their rooms. With more traffic, webcam models have more opportunities to interact with new users and convert them to paying customers."
Built for mobile users with fast video loading, webcam models can list their profile links, social media links and fan site links on their profiles and Kams.com directs interested customers to those links. Each model's profile is a short link + linktree. For example, kams.com/EmylieSander.
Wilson added, "Our system automatically detects if the model is live on any of the major platforms like StripChat or Chaturbate and boosts their most recent video. Our algorithm is looking for signs that the video is engaging and the model is ready to convert customers."
When webcam models feel low traffic in their room, their choices are to change platforms, post on social media, or complain to the site support, Kams.com said. These options give the models little control over the exposure and that particular session. The mission of Kams.com is to give models control over the traffic in their rooms.
Wilson along with a team of other former webcam executives launched an alpha version of Kams.com with minimal features in August 2024, testing the market and getting feedback from models. In February 2025, they unveiled their beta platform at Lalexpo using a brand new codebase, customer accounts, upgraded user experience, and a simple uploading process for models.
After months of battle testing and optimizations, on August 12, 2025, the Kams.com team will be launching their platform for general availability at Community Update in Bogota, Colombia. This version already has millions of views per month, according to Kams.com, but also includes Studio Manager for studios to manage multiple model accounts, user tools like video rating, and a trained sorting algorithm to maximize engagement.
