TORONTO, Ont.—On Saturday, June 7, downtown Toronto will host the SexTech TO Conference, a first-ever event spotlighting technology and sexual wellness.
Held at the Centre for Social Innovation and co-produced by founder Alexandra Friedman and creative director Erin York, “the one-day conference will bring together thought leaders, interactive tech demos, and bold conversations designed to inform, inspire, and ignite change,” an event representative said.
The keynote will be delivered by disability and sexuality advocate Andrew Gurza. Additional points of interest will include installations from local sex tech interest groups K!nky Makers and Research & Desire, as well as others “pushing boundaries within the $38 billion global sex tech industry,” the representative added.
“SexTech TO is about making the unknown known,” said Friedman. “We’re creating a hub for sex-positive innovation here in Toronto—similar to that of New York or Berlin. We want to amplify voices, connect the players, and make resources more visible.”
“Sex tech isn’t just about toys—it’s about health, equity, inclusion, and the freedom to access tools that support human sexuality,” she added. “This will be the perfect teaser of what you can expect for the future of sex tech in Toronto.”
The SexTech TO Conference will be held June 7, at the Centre for Social Innovation, located in Toronto. Tickets are available now at sliding scale pricing via EventBrite. Space is limited.
