VEENDAM, Netherlands—Sexual wellness e-commerce corporation EQOM today announced that CEO Marc van Boven will step down from his role as of September 1.
Following an intensive and rewarding period within the organization, van Boven has decided to pursue a new career opportunity closer to his home in the western part of the Netherlands. He was appointed CEO on July 1, 2024, after many years of international leadership experience.
During his tenure, the EQOM Group was consolidated into a clear, integrated structure with a unified way of working.
“It has been a remarkable journey to help shape the important and often underestimated mission that EQOM represents. We have taken steps towards strengthening our leading position, and I am proud of the foundation now in place. I wish the EQOM Group and its dedicated, talented team a successful and prosperous future,” van Boven said.
As of September 1, Anneke Kamphuis will assume the role of interim CEO, alongside her current position as Chief B2C Officer.
Building on the foundation established under van Boven’s leadership, she will focus on further optimizing the shared services organization, expanding the data team, and opening a satellite office in Hilversum.
“I look forward to continuing to build on the strong organization we have in place. Together with the team, we aim to enter the next phase of growth and bring EQOM even closer to our customers,” Kamphuis said.
Over the past year, EQOM’s management team has expanded to include Kamphuis (Chief B2C Officer), Marco van der Laan (Chief B2B Officer) and Giena Klaassens (HR Director), who joined the broader leadership team together with CFO Ronald van den Berg.
