PORTLAND, Ore. - A year after launching CollarFactory.com, an all-ages online community dedicated to high-quality fashion collars, Spartacus Enterprises has added new features to the site.
"The Collar Factory has really filled a niche in the market for a fun, interactive accessory customizer," said Laurie Bergquist, vice president of Spartacus. "The Collar Factory web team has given the collar customizer tons of new features."
Among the features added to the collar customizer are 20 outer materials such as metallic-gold leather and midnight-purple leather, 21 linings, 14 stitching options, faux gemstones, black hardware, new studs and attachments, outer linings and an option to make cuffs in addition to collars. Locking buckles and the ability to combine features like lettering, studs and attachments also have been added.
Designer Megan Driscoll said the Collar Factory has taken off beyond her wildest expectations.
"One of the most flattering things is the dedication our members have to the forum," she said. "They share pictures of their collars and just generally gush about the gorgeous collars we've made to order."
Customers also are welcome to dream up totally off-the-wall designs, Driscoll added.
"We're always open to special requests, even if you can't build it through the customizer," she said.. "[Just] contact us, and we'll work with you to build your dream collar or cuff."
