Shanghai APIEXPO 2026 Showcases Innovative Design, Tech

LOS ANGELES—The 5th annual Shanghai International Adult Products Industry Exhibition (API) was held in mid-April, featuring 400 booths on three floors, displaying every kind of pleasure product imaginable. New companies were joined by well established brands and manufacturers, each displaying their latest designs and technology during the show that embraced not only B2B customers but also the general public.

Models gracefully showed products while cameras clicked away, samples of lubricants, delay sprays, herbal supplements, and other special libido-enhancing creams were handed out to the thousands in attendance. The Heihun booth featured their differently flavored lubricants, including avocado, with appropriately flavored gelato dished out by handsome young men wearing chest harnesses and trendy jeans. Their wide range of products that included many men’s pleasure products, were also featured in their splashy, interactive booth.

Korean brand, Loma, highlighted its new products, and Loma’s Dami highlighted her observations about the show: “API was a very exciting show for Loma. We had the chance to meet buyers, influencers, creators, and customers from China, Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, and the response to our booth was incredibly positive. For us, API confirmed that there is strong global interest in Korean sexual wellness brands that are beautiful, approachable, and emotionally thoughtful.” Dami continued, “What stood out to us was how much interest there is now in sexual wellness brands that feel more elevated, design-focused, and lifestyle-friendly. Many visitors told us Loma felt different from what they usually expect in the category — softer, more approachable, and easier to imagine as part of everyday self-care.”

HK Wahsiny had several variations of the popular wand shape, with cleverly designed necks and pivoting heads and handles that looked like they were made of wood. Their strong and silent heads impressed everyone who sampled their technology at the show.

New company, Kissky, presented its elegant products in curated boxes that equaled the beauty of its technologically advanced pleasure products. Velvet-lined boxes disguised as jewelry boxes opened to showcase the remarkably quiet vibes that with a twist of the base, effortlessly increased speed, mimicking the slow, erotic buildup one can experience while using. The booth invited customers to lounge in its comfortable sofas in their boutique setting while being shown their latest creations.
