Ohdoki Kickstarter for Updated ‘The Handy’ Strokers Raises $660K

OSLO, Norway—Sex tech products company Ohdoki recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for two new versions of its automatic stroker, The Handy.

The campaign offering The Handy 2 and The Handy 2 Pro strokers for pre-order debuted on May 28, International Masturbation Day, and the effort has raised more than $664,000 so far.

“The response has been overwhelming,” said JP Wilhelmsen, CEO at Ohdoki. “This launch wasn’t just about a new product—it was a moment of validation. Seeing our community show up with this kind of passion proves the trust they’ve placed in us. The Handy 2 and The Handy 2 Pro were built from direct user feedback, and this level of early support tells us we got it right. We’re grateful, humbled, and more energized than ever to keep pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in interactive pleasure.”

Like its predecessor, the new Handy devices are “VR (virtual reality) compatible to help create life-like, interactive sexual experiences that blur the line between digital and physical intimacy. As VR headsets like the Meta Quest become more accessible and mainstream, the combination of The Handy 2 and VR represents the future of immersive pleasure,” a company representative said.

The Handy 2 and The Handy 2 Pro will be wireless, featuring a built-in battery and a universal USB-C port. Users can also use the strokers while charging.

The Handy’s stroke length has increased from 110mm (4.3 inches) to 125mm (4.9 inches) and features a built-in “next generation” custom motor with more power and torque. The new motor also produces less noise than its predecessor, for discreet use. The updated versions also feature a new oval shape allowing for a better grip.

The Handy 2 and The Handy 2 Pro also will offer a brand-new “click-on system,” with the click-on band holder that will allow future add-on accessories like rotating and vibrating sleeves.

The Handy 2 also offers built-in, hands-free mounting screws, eliminating need for additional mounting accessories. Additionally, “two new screw holes have been added to support the L-shaped adapter, enabling sturdier mounting solutions like VESA compatibility and integration with The Handy’s latest hands-free kit,” the representative said.

The Handy 2 and The Handy 2 Pro will feature a new functional LED light that displays speed, mode, battery level and troubleshooting alerts. Upcoming improvements to the LED function will include adjustable brightness and accessibility directly from The Handy app.

The new The Handy versions will also feature VR compatibility and offline/online modes for solo and long-distance play. Users can also sync up to adult content, with both conventional and VR videos, games and custom applications, using the device’s open API.

“We are beyond excited to announce The Handy 2 and The Handy 2 Pro. Our community asked for new features, and we listened," Wilhelmsen added. "When we launched The Handy in 2019, our goal was to be at least five years ahead of the curve in the male sex toy industry—and we delivered, setting a new standard for innovation and technology. Now, we’re doing it again. With The Handy 2 and The Handy 2 Pro, we're pushing boundaries once more, offering next-level experiences unseen anywhere else that go far beyond anything you've imagined.

“For too long, the use of male sex toys has been a taboo topic, and many men aren’t even aware that there are sex toys out there designed specifically for them and their pleasure. At Ohdoki, we are on a mission to bring elevated sexual experiences to penis owners, combining high tech with a deep understanding of what truly feels good,” he concluded.
