LOS ANGELES—Lovense expands its interactive camming ecosystem with “Control Me,” a new feature that enables creators to control users’ toys “at scale, completing a full bi-directional loop built on the industry's largest installed base of connected devices,” a Lovense rep said.
The feature's API has now launched and is ready for integration on adult cam sites.
Built on previous “Tip to Vibrate” and “Cam Extension & Give Control” features, the latest addition to Lovense’s interactive tech platform is called “Control Me,” which is designed to increase immersion and give creators "a more direct and more intimate way to engage fans,” the rep continued.
The feature allows users to request that creators take control of the user’s Lovense toy, directly from the cam sites.
“Lovense’s latest innovation builds on an ecosystem long shaped by the company’s patents related to camming and toy interaction, which underpin how toy-powered engagement is delivered across platforms,” the rep explained. “This ecosystem enables creator tools that are purpose-built for the realities of today’s morphing entertainment industry.” The company also noted the public release comes after an “extensive series of private test rounds on multiple platforms.”
The new Control Me feature follows the rollout of Lovense’s Give Control capability, which let users control performers’ Lovense toys during broadcasts and private sessions.
“Since its rollout, Give Control has become a proven monetization engine—generating millions of USD for the camming industry every month,” the Lovense rep said.
The new Control Me feature is designed to “feel intuitive and permission-based,” functioning as follows:
• A user connects a Lovense toy to the platform.
• During the show, the user tips the correct amount to “unlock” the invitation.
• The model receives an invitation request and can accept or decline.
• If accepted, the model is shown an on-screen pop-up confirmation that enables the creator to control the user’s Lovense toy for the selected duration.
Pricing flexibility is a core feature of the new system, the Lovense rep said. Through Lovense Cam Extension feature, creators can set the price for Control Me as high or as low as they choose—including the option to make it discounted or free during private shows. Control Me is engineered “to drive measurable improvements including higher user engagement, increased conversion rates and better creator retention.”
In addition to individual Control Me sessions, the feature has creator tools for “special control events.” With these events, creators can prompt users who connect toys to participate in special shows, “and then control everyone’s toy with one simple click.” According to Lovense, the capability allows cam performers to “increase event intensity and show pacing (including edging shows), earn multiple times for the same amount of work and encourages promotion on social media to grow a crowd of toy owners.
The new feature also creates opportunities for sites and creators to earn from toy sales with commissions earned when users buy toys through the Lovense affiliate program, and again, when users pay to control the users' toys.
To help platforms and developers integrate the new experience, Lovense developer documentation is ready now on the Lovense Developer website.
