Harry Styles to Sell Sex Products Under Pleasing Banner

LOS ANGELES—Following a flurry of online chatter about some cryptic posts to the Instagram account of Pleasing—pop star Harry Styles' beauty brand—involving an impending drop of some sort, the company has revealed that the new products are indeed, as speculated, of the sexual pleasure-geared variety.

Officially going to market Friday, the two new items on the way are The Pleasing Lube and The Pleasing Double-Sided Vibrator.

Both products will be made available tomorrow both online and at "The Pleasing Pleasure Shop" pop-up at 251 Elizabeth Street in New York, opening at 11 a.m. According to the announcement of the pop-up shop, the first 100 visitors each day will receive "a mystery gift."

The Pleasing Lube, retailing for $25, is described on the Pleasing website as a "high-performance, FDA-approved silicone lubricant ... developed to support a wide range of intimate experiences and exploration. Safe for penile, anal, and vaginal use, this formula is compatible with most condoms and non-silicone sex toys. It offers long-lasting moisture and a silky glide with zero glycerin."

In its notes on The Pleasing Double-Sided Vibrator, priced at $68, the site divulges, "This device was dreamed into being with sex educator, author, and visionary proprietor of the sex-positive Spectrum Boutique, Zoë Ligon, to delight a kaleidoscope of bodies, desires, and curiosities."

The notes go on to quote Ligon, a prominent industry figure and advocate, as saying, "I love this wand because its rumbling motors are powerful and deep, yet it’s compact enough to use easily with a partner or alongside other toys. Plus, it’s just dang cute! The button controls are simple to maneuver with one hand, and you can press and hold them to steadily increase the intensity until you let go. This is a great toy for both those new to sex toys and experienced users alike; it’s versatile, offers many ways to play, and the silky silicone makes it easy to clean and care for.
