Dame Launches ‘She’s Coming’ Advocacy Campaign Amid Expansion

NEW YORK, N.Y.—Sexual wellness brand Dame today announced several new company initiatives including the launch of its “She’s Coming” campaign and acquisition of two wellness brands. Dame also announced the addition of Chief Pleasure Officer Shan Boodram to its clinical board of advisors.

Dame has acquired pleasure product brand Emojibator and another sexual wellness brand that has yet to be announced. The acquisitions “broaden Dame’s portfolio, integrating the brand's playful, pop culture inspired designs into its already diverse lineup. By bringing these brands under its umbrella, Dame reinforces its commitment to making sexual wellness more inclusive, accessible and celebrated. This growth reflects a strong year for Dame, highlighted by a 63 percent increase in sales from 2023 to 2024,” a company representative said.

The acquisition “comes at a critical time for the sexual wellness industry, as access to pleasure products faces new challenges,” the brand representative added. “In response to proposed legislation in Texas seeking to ban sex toys from grocery stores—a move that threatens accessibility and reinforces harmful stigmas—Dame is launching the ‘She’s Coming’ campaign.”

The campaign “directly confronts outdated policies, advocates for the right to pleasure, and works to destigmatize sexual wellness,” the representative explained.

As part of the campaign, Dame is partnering with Planned Parenthood to provide free condoms across Dallas for a year. Additionally, to encourage consumer engagement, the brand is offering free Com wand vibrators to anyone who snaps a photo of the brand’s trucks—which have been skinned in "She’s Coming" promotional imagery—and then tags @DameProducts on Instagram. Trucks have been deployed in Dallas, and the campaign will eventually expand to Miami.

“The pleasure gap is real—our research shows that only 39 percent of women ‘usually’ or ‘always’ orgasm during sex, compared to 91 percent of men; this disparity is unacceptable,” said Alexandra Fine, CEO and founder of Dame. “By expanding our reach, acquiring innovative brands, and building a team of medical and sexual health experts, we are working to close that gap and ensure everyone has the resources and products they need to explore their pleasure confidently.”

Dame also welcomed Shan Boodram to its board of clinical advisors, as its first-ever Chief Pleasure Officer. An AASECT-certified sex and relationship educator, Boodram will lead efforts in fostering conversations around intimacy, wellness and pleasure.

Dame’s clinical board of advisors, which was appointed in 2021, includes board-certified OB/GYN Amy Novatt, MD, naturopathic physician (ND) Aimée Gould Shunney, certified sex therapist (CST) Holly Richmond, PhD, LMFT, and sex-positive pelvic health physical therapist Dr. Uchenna Ossai.
