NEW YORK, N.Y.—COTR has appointed Dr. Alix Agar, LMFT, CST, as its newly added Sexual Wellness and Intimacy Expert to the company’s Medical and Therapeutic Advisory Board.
“A respected voice in the field of clinical sexology and relationship therapy, Dr. Agar brings a wealth of expertise to guide COTR’s ongoing commitment to innovation, education and holistic sexual wellness,” a COTR representative said.
Dr. Agar is a licensed marriage and family therapist and certified sex therapist with a PhD in Clinical Sexology. As the founder of Big Sister Therapy in Los Angeles, she is known for her inclusive, client-centered approach. “Dr. Agar empowers clients to embrace sexual wellness, strengthen emotional connections, and cultivate more fulfilling relationships,” the rep added.
A sought-after speaker, Dr. Agar has also presented at conferences and events nationwide, advancing critical conversations about sexual health, personal growth and relationship dynamics. She is widely recognized for her efforts to dismantle societal stigma and create safe, nonjudgmental spaces where individuals can explore and embrace their authentic selves, the rep said.
Industry professionals will have an opportunity to meet Dr. Agar in person at sexual wellness conference Stimulate 2026, where she will be present at the COTR booth throughout the event. Dr. Agar will be on-site and available to speak with attendees—including therapists, counselors and sexual wellness practitioners—about the clinical benefits of COTR’s product portfolio and how brands like Le Wand, b-Vibe and The Cowgirl can be integrated into therapeutic practice and client care.
